In carrying out the task, BPKP hold function:
- assessment and drafting of national policy in the field of financial supervision and construction;
- the formulation and implementation of policies in the field of financial supervision and construction;
- functional activities in the implementation of the coordination task BPKP;
- monitoring, provision of guidance and coaching against activity of financial supervision and construction;
- Organization of Ministry of public administration and development in the field of public administration, planning, organization and staffing, financial, tatalaksana, persandian, legal, archival, and household supplies.
In these functions, BPKP has the authority to:
- the preparation of a national plan for macro in their field;
- policy formulation in their fields to support development in the macro;
- establishment of information system in their field;
- coaching and supervision over the implementation of autonomous region which includes the provision of guidelines, training, guidance, direction, and supervision of personnel;
- determination of requirements for the accreditation of educational institutions and certification of professionals/experts as well as the requirements of the position in their field;
- other authorities in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation, namely:
- Enter all offices, workshops, warehouses, buildings, places of hoarding, etc.;
- examine all records, electronic data, documents, books, papers, calculation evidence, minutes of Committee meeting and the like, survey results, management reports and other paperwork needed in supervision;
- oversight of cash, securities, warehousing supplies and others;
- ask for information about follow-up supervisory results, results monitoring and surveillance results BPKP Agency Financial Examiners, and other oversight institutions.
