Lowongan Kerja PT Krakatau Posco 2018 - PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk (KS), a joint venture with Pohang Iron & Steel Company (Posco), in Cilegon, Banten, was inaugurated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Monday (12/23/2013). As much as 70 percent of the company's shares are owned by Posco and the rest is Krakatau Steel. "I value this collaboration closely between Krakatau Steel and Posco as a long-term investment towards Indonesia as a formidable industrial country.
The inauguration of this factory is a concrete manifestation of all of us in improving the national steel industry that Krakatau Steel and others have supplied," said President SBY at that time. Present at the event were the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Korea Energy Kim Jundong, as well as the CEO of PT Posco Chung Joon Yang. Yudhoyono said the construction of the joint steel plant was expected to meet the country's steel needs, improve Indonesia's economy, and expand employment.
According to him, national steel supply is still lacking compared to the development of the steel industry in Indonesia. The integrated steel plant of PT Krakatau Posco produces steel raw material in the form of plates and slabs to meet the needs of various industrial sectors, including the shipyard, construction and domestic manufacturing industries, while supplying the needs of KS which is currently carrying out the Hot Strip Mill factory capacity building project ( HSM).
